Plan - 1440 SZD-9 Bocian

The SZD-9 Bocian (Polish: "Stork") was designed as a multi-purpose, two-seat sailplane. It was built in Poland at Szybowcowy Zakład Doświadczalny (Glider Experimental Works) in Bielsko-Biała, beginning in 1952. It was designed for training to competition flying. The SZD-9 glider plan is 1/5-scale size. It is designed after the two-place full-scale glider. The model has a wingspan of 138 inches when finished. It is a built-up balsa, plywood and spruce model, with miscellaneous hardware required.
